Statement 1 is correct. Both the American and Indian Presidents can only be removed from the office through impeachment. In India either house can initiate impeachment proceedings against the President and with the concurrence of the other house can impeach the President. In US the power initiate impeachment lies with the House of Representatives (Lower House).
Statement 2 is correct. In India President is bound by the advice of his ministers. He can do nothing contrary to their advice nor can he do anything without their advice. But the President of US can dismiss any Ministers (called as Secretaries) at any time.
