Explanation – Article 19(2) of the Indian Constitution allows the government to impose reasonable restrictions on freedom of speech and expression based on specific grounds, which include: Security of the State, Contempt of Court, Friendly relations with foreign states, public order, Decency or morality, Defamation, Incitement to an offense, Sovereignty and integrity of India.
