Explanation – The Kilkari Programme is a mobile health initiative that aims to improve maternal health and newborn care through community mobilization. The program uses prerecorded, weekly, stage-based calls to provide information about reproductive, maternal, neonatal, and child health to families’ mobile phones. It aims to empower families and communities to make informed decisions about maternal and newborn care, ultimately improving health outcomes. The scheme is centrally hosted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The programme is integrated with the centralized Reproductive Child Health (RCH) portal of MoHFW.
