Explanation – The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the most prestigious international awards, established through the will of Alfred Nobel, a Swedish inventor and industrialist. Unlike other Nobel Prizes that are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden, the Peace Prize ceremony takes place in Oslo, Norway. The Norwegian Nobel Committee is a five-member committee appointed by the Norwegian Parliament (Storting). This committee is tasked with reviewing nominations and selecting the laureates for the Nobel Peace Prize.
