Explanation – Karpoori Thakur was a socialist leader and two-term Chief Minister of Bihar (1970-1971 and 1977-1979). He is remembered for fighting for the cause of the poor and marginalized, earning him the title “Jan Nayak” (leader of the people). He recently received the prestigious Bharat Ratna posthumously in January 2024.
