Questions
If GDPR marked a decisive moment in consumer data protection, MiCA could point to responsible crypto management. In the light of the statement, discuss the need for crypto regulations and how could MiCA ensure responsible crypto management.
Discuss the rationale behind Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005. How does a new amendment strengthen this mechanism?

Looks great! Proper structure and good content.
Only shortcoming is repetition of content to some extent, challenges posed by cryptocurrency/need for regulation can be clubbed together.
Also the point regarding Luna crash being comparable to 2008 crisis, is it authentic? I feel Luna coin crash would be nowhere near to the 2008 crisis. Please cross-check this once.
hi thank you for review,
my apologies for going extreme, i just read somewhere that luna crash as compared to 2008 crisis in crypto world. however i could not point out the source.
but I agree too that would be too extreme to write.
ill avoid it.
thank you for pointing the major issue.
regards.
Great answer! I feel the structure can be tweaked a bit based on flow of question statement. Mention the need of regulation first, then address how MiCA addresses the concerns. In need for regulation, do elaborate the consequences of anonymity like misuse for illegal activities etc.
Also in provisions of MiCA, add the point of requirement of maintaining minimum reserve. All else good!
Thank you very much.
Please review and let me know my mistakes

Great answer! Very good content coverage. Only missing point is reserve requirement under MiCA. Not much to suggest here. Great work!
Okay noted!
Thanku for the review
1:1 reserve. Right!?
Yes.
Good answer! Some suggestions
1. You can begin by quoting that there is no authoritative definition of WMDs under international law at present, but they broadly mean to include Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons. Closest definition is under UNGA resolution.
2. Under the rationale, add the point of meeting India’s obligations under UNSC Resolution, and International Conventions (Geneva Protocol 1926, Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), 1972 and CWC, 1992).
3. As for the Amendment, it helps India meet FATF requirement.
Also the Act includes the Delivery Systems, so don’t mention pt. 5.
hi,
I totally forgot the FATF angle, thank you for reminding.
however in point 5 I was meant that delivery system was not present in initial act but now been added via amendment.
I may have not been clear with the statement.
thank you the review.
Please cross-check once, I think that delivery systems are covered under the 2005 Act. I’m not sure but guessing from the complete name of the Act, The Weapons Mass destruction And Delivery Systems Act, 2005.
Hi Manisha, great answer!! I would just ask few questions here. If you have time, please guide me through this. I am an IITB graduate preparing since 2020… and struggling with updating and retrieving notes….
1. How do you update your notes…. offline or online?
2. Did you join any coaching/ followed any teacher for starting answer writing
3. For how much time have you been writing to reach this level
4. Which pen do you use for answer writing
hi Shubham,
I myself am amateur with the answer writing. so i think, i may not be the best person here to guide anyone given the fact i have not written any mains yet.
however,
would love to help you here,
1. I have my notes made online in google sheets, but when I go for my mains mock test, I have made short notes of issues offline to go through before the exam. if I ever got chance to write mains, I’m planning to go through these handwritten short notes only and refer to my online notes just for any clarification or to update further.
2. I did not joined any coaching per se, however I have written quite a few answer online on various platform like this, also I have joined formulas MGP this year.
3. I have been writing since 2021, I guess. you could see my past answers in my disqus profile itself. they were not good but again I’m just amateur.
4. I use pilot V7 – cost 60rs/ pen. worth it.
Thank you so much for this. You will definitely write mains….. 🙂
Please give marks and let me know my mistakes
Great answer! Good aspects about your answer include proper structure, use of bullet points, proper headings, introduction/conclusion. Nice handwriting, and easy to read.
Some suggestions:
1. You could have added the general information about WMDs, like there is no authoritative definition, but generally means NBC. (Refer comment to Manisha’s answer below).
2. Also mention the Chemical/Biological Conventions and obligations.
3. Argument of FATF obligation should come under Need for Amendment (financing aspect).
All else is great! Be mindful of the word limit also.
Keep writing 🙂
Good attempt! Handwriting is really nice. Hope You do maintain the speed while writing. Structure is good too, according to the question requirement. Good to include a schematic in the answer.
Content can be enhanced e.g., under MiCA some more points can be added like reserve requirement, liability of service providers for losses. Similarly under need for regulation, You can add macro-economic stability, checking nefarious activities etc.
Keep writing 🙂

Good answer! Content is comprehensive. Some suggestions
1. There is no need to elaborate so much about GDPR here. Just mention that GDPR deals with data protection and perhaps mention salient features in 2-3 lines. Core theme of the question is Crypto and MiCA, so focus more on that.
2. Structure of the answer can be tweaked a little. You can first mention the need for regulating the cryptocurrencies then elaborate how MiCA addresses these concerns. In general, keep the structure of the answer according to the flow of the question statement. This approach would work in most cases.
3. Also, in my personal opinion, you can adopt a point-wise approach through-out e.g., you could have used numbered/bullet points while describing provisions of MiCA as well.
Good answer! Some suggestions
1. Mention what includes WMDs in introduction, there is no official definition but WMDs include Nuclear/Chem/Bio weapons.
2. In the rationale for WMD Act, do include point of India’s international obligations under UN Resolutions, Biological Weapons Convention, 1972 and CWC, 1992. You have mentioned them in conclusion, but can shift here.
3. Point related to FATF obligation can be mentioned under Amendment section.
Overall content is great and relevant, only minor tweaks required regarding its structuring.
This is great! Content, structure, presentation are all really good.
Only suggestion is to try to write smaller sentences, e.g., you have written the complete paragraph after definition in a single line. This makes it bit complex to read and understand.
Be mindful of the word limit. You tend to explain things in lot detail, it can be cut short to bring the answer within limit. It’ll save you time and let you complete the paper in time.
