1) Highlight the reasons behind the China-Taiwan stand-off. What lessons can India take from it?

Good Answer! In terms of description/suggestion You are spot on!
Only suggestion is that You need to improvise the content from the reference article, shorten it and write in Your own words. The reason is that You must be concise and precise in Your answers and adhere to the word limit.
Also in suggestions that You have provided, You can change the language. Criticism of the Government’s actions is warranted, but tone down a little e.g., You can write that the Government need to be more forthright on Chinese Incursions and take a more aggressive stand. Chinese transgressions can be highlighted at global platforms etc. India need not play down the role of QUAD etc.
Always have a balanced approach and a mild language in Your answers.

Good one! But this one was a pretty straightforward question.
You could have used a tabular format for comparison, would have save You time and words. It would be easier to read for the examiner also.
