Questions
1) Remote Voting Facility has the potential to strengthen the electoral process of the world’s largest democracy. Examine the statement.
2) Highlight the factors hindering India’s global trade potential. Also, suggest some alternative policy measures to boost global trade of India.

Nice. Some suggestions
1. Do include data related to migrants and electoral turnout, use it to highlight that this can help improve turnout and strengthen representative democracy.
2. In challenges, you can include more points like threat of attacks, ensuring privacy (so that no one in the system knows about voter’s choice), integrity of the process (e.g., politicians raise doubts over EVMs despite their robustness), logistics etc.
Some of the points you mentioned seem a bit unrelated, you can avoid those (e.g., reduced connection between political leaders and voters etc.)
Keep writing 🙂
Thanks for reviewing my answer
Some good aspects: You began with relevant data showing India’s trade is much below potential. Clearly labeled parts and point-wise arguments.
Suggestions for improvement:
1. The core reasons for poor trade performance have been missed. These include high tariffs, trade restrictions (like ban on export of wheat in May 2022), India’s reluctance to join trade blocs like RCEP, India not being part of global manufacturing value chains, lack of support especially to MSMEs to utilize their export potential etc. Your answer should be on these lines.
2. Some of the suggestions You mentioned to improve the trade are very relevant (MSME, Infra etc.). Others can be added like steps to integrate India’s manufacturing with Global Value Chains, address inverted duty structure and high tariffs, reduce trade restrictions etc.
Sure… shall work on your reviewing points
Good one, clearly titled points which are easily readable. Good points made regarding benefits of remote voting and associated challenges. Schematic diagram is nice, could have elaborated the challenges in 1-2 line max.
Some suggestions:
1. Do mention the data regarding number of internal migrants. Also mention the general turnout in elections (60-70% in most cases).
2. In challenges, do include logistical challenges especially mapping of migrant voters with their booth and constituency etc.
Overall good answer 🙂
Thank you Sir / Mam
Wer s today qn sir
This could have been better. You were able to address only part of the question.
1. Begin with India’s trade data. India achieved record exports in 2021-22 but they were still only ~14% of GDP, much below India’s potential, and also China’s level. India’s share in global trade is very low. So there is scope of improvement there. Plus huge trade deficit is also a concern.
2. List down the challenges; these include high tariffs, trade restrictions (like ban on export of wheat in May 2022), India’s reluctance to join trade blocs like RCEP, India not being part of global manufacturing value chains, lack of support especially to MSMEs to utilize their export potential etc.
The way forward is good, mentioning the suggestions to improve India’s trade. If possible, number them.
Keep writing 🙂
