Questions
1.) Public Health and Management Cadre (PHMC) can be helpful in ensuring quality health care in government facilities, yet, progress on these fronts has been slow. Elaborate.
2.) Biosphere reserves are places where humans live in harmony with nature, and where there is an effective combination of sustainable development and nature conservation. Discuss
Good attempt. Introduction has began with definition of Biosphere Reserves. Benefits are also mentioned clearly.
However, you could have elaborated on the Biosphere reserves a bit more:
1. Functions of Biosphere Reserves: Conservation of Biodiversity, Sustainable Development and Capacity Building.
2. Elaborate on 3 zones of Biosphere reserves (Core, Buffer, Transition) and how they help achieve the above functions. Draw a diagram as well.
3. You could change the title ‘negative effects’ into challenges to maintain. The points mentioned are not negative effects of biosphere reserves per se, they are there for other measures as well like National Parks and sanctuaries.
Concluding remarks can be on positive note, that the biosphere reserves offer an opportunity to live harmoniously with nature, the network can be extended further etc.
