News:Indian Home Minister will inaugurate the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) Joint Exercise on Urban Earthquake Search and Rescue in New Delhi.

About the exercise:
- The exercise SCOJtEx-2019 will be hosted by the National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) at New Delhi.
- The aim of the exercise is to rehearse the disaster response mechanism, share knowledge, experience and technology for mutual coordination.
- The exercise will wlso test the region’s preparedness and resilience towards effective activation of Intergovernmental interaction for immediate response.
- The participants of all eight member countries namely China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will be participating in this exercise.
