- According to the Ministry of Housing Affairs, the Smart City awards were given out in the categories of Social Aspects, Governance, Culture, Urban Environment, Sanitation, Economy, Built Environment, Water, and Urban Mobility.
- Under the second round of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs’ “Data Maturity Assessment Framework,” 42 out of 100 “smart cities” have been accredited as having put in place procedures to employ data-based evidence for governance delivery.
- Under the Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework, Surat, Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Vijayawada, Rajkot, Visakhapatnam, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Vadodara received a four-star grade.
