News:Vice President of India has been awarded the degree of ‘Doctor of Philosophy’ by the University of Peace.

Facts:

University for Peace(UPEACE) is an intergovernmental organization established by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly in 1980.Its main campus is situated at Costa Rica.
Mandate:To offer Higher Education programmes focusing on peace and human rights studies.
