UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 postponed

UPSC has postponed the UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 due to the prevailing Covid-19 crisis in the country. Now this examination will be held on 10th October 2021. This exam was scheduled to be held on  27th June, 2021.

Last year also, UPSC CSE Prelims was postponed due to an almost similar situation, caused by COVID-19 and nation-wise lockdown. Similarly, UPSC Prelims 2020 postponed to October (4th) month, just like this year.

UPSC has recently postponed several exams due to the ongoing crisis. Other ongoing government recruitment exams like SSC CGL and some exams of SSC CHSL have also been postponed amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Several candidates were demanding to postpone or cancel the exam amid a surge in Covid-19 cases.

UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021 will be held for 712 vacancies. It will include 22 vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
