Dear Friends,

Resilience and Triumph: The Story of Rank 37 Aakash Chaudhary (Naib Tehsildar)
The journey of civil services preparation is often a marathon of patience, a fact personified by Akash Chaudhary of Rajendra Nagar, Ghaziabad. In the recently announced Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Service (UPPCS) 2024 results, Akash achieved a notable milestone by securing the 37th rank, earning him the post of Naib Tehsildar. His success is particularly remarkable because it follows a long period of persistence; Akash had previously attempted the UPSC exams six times without a final selection. However, instead of being deterred by these challenges, he transitioned his focus to the state services, successfully clearing the UPPCS in only his second attempt.
Akash’s academic foundation began at St. Thomas School and continued at Delhi University, where he completed his graduation. His pursuit of a career in administration was a shared family goal, as he began his preparation alongside his wife, Sarika Chaudhary. Sarika is an accomplished officer in her own right, having cleared the UPSC in 2024 to become an IPS officer currently posted in Lucknow. Coming from a supportive family background with his father, Sanjay Rawat, being a businessman and nominated councilor, and his mother, Babita Rawat, a homemaker, Akash had the emotional stability needed to navigate the highs and lows of competitive testing.
In reflecting on his preparation, Akash emphasizes that self-belief is the most critical element of success. While he initially took coaching during his UPSC years, he opted for a completely self-reliant approach for the UPPCS. He maintained a disciplined lifestyle by strictly limiting his social media usage and balancing his rigorous study schedule with personal interests like cooking and sports. He admits that watching others move ahead can sometimes be demoralizing, but he believes that one must never lose hope. His story serves as an elegant reminder that while talent is important, it is the refusal to give up that ultimately leads to the finish line.
