The UPSC 2025 Exam Calendar has been released, marking key dates for a variety of examinations, including the highly anticipated Civil Services Exam (CSE). UPSC CSE Prelims Exam to be held on 25th May 2025. This is almost the same schedule every year for the prelims’ examination. However, this year, around 3 months are given in between the Prelims and mains Examination, compared to the 4 Months given last year (Before rescheduling of exam).

Overview of the UPSC 2025 Exam Calendar

The 2025 calendar sets out a comprehensive schedule that spans several important examinations. Aspirants need to take note of the following key exams and their respective dates to effectively plan their preparation strategies.

UPSC CSE Prelims and Mains 2025 Exam Dates:

Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 Notification date is set January 22, 2025, with the application deadline set for February 11, 2025.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 will be held on 25th May 2025. This level of exam is held in 2 sessions; 1st session will be conducted for the General Studies paper 1 Exam and 2nd Session will be conducted for the Qualifying CSAT Examination.

The Preliminary exam is scheduled for May 25, 2025. Notifications will begin circulating as early as January 22, 2025, with the application deadline set for February 11, 2025. The Main examination will follow on August 22, 2025.

UPSC Mains 2025 exams are scheduled to be start from August 22, 2025. The exams are conducted for 5 days, excluding the breaks provided in between the examination. The proper Schedule for the Mains Examination will be released at the later stage.

Engineering Services and Combined Geo-Scientist Exams:

Both exams are scheduled for February 9, 2025, with notifications released in September 2024.

National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy:

The first session of these exams will occur on April 13, 2025.
