UPSC Mains DAF 2024 was released on July 3rd for candidates who have cleared the UPSC Prelims 2024 exam. The last date for filling the Detailed Application Form(DAF-I) is tomorrow, i.e. 12th July 2024 by 6 PM. If you have not already filled it, hurry and do it today, otherwise, you will not be allowed to appear in the examination, as mentioned in the official notice released by UPSC. About UPSC Mains DAF-I 2024
The Detailed Application Form (DAF) is filled out by candidates who have cleared the Preliminary examination and are eligible to appear for the Mains examination. The DAF is designed to gather detailed personal, educational, and professional information about the candidates, which is later used during the Mains examination and the subsequent interview (Personality Test).
DAF 2 is filled out by candidates who have cleared the Mains examination and are eligible to appear for the Personality Test (Interview).
Process of filling UPSC Mains DAF-I 2024
1) Go to the official UPSC website on https://upsconline.nic.in/
2) On the home page, click on the option – DAF FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC.
3) After that, you will be redirected to the login page.
4) Fill your OTR details, and you will find the option to fill the DAF.
5) Complete the registration by providing your name, roll number, date of birth, and email address.
Importance of DAF
Personal Interview: The DAF serves as a primary source of information for the interview board. They often ask questions based on the details provided in the DAF.
Background Verification: It helps UPSC in verifying the candidate’s background, educational qualifications, and work experience.
Service Allocation: The preferences mentioned in the DAF play a crucial role in the final allocation of services and cadres.
