- USA has launched a new command called Spacecom. It has been established as the 11th Unified Combatant Command of the American armed forces.
- It is a re-establishment of the US Space Command, which existed between 1985 and 2002.
- It is dedicated to warfare in space. The command will focus on defending American interests in space. It comes in the backdrop of increasing militarization of space by China and Russia.
- The United States Space Force as the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces will be established soon.
