US’s Pivot to Asia policy

About: “Pivot to Asia”, was one of the Obama Administration’s central foreign policy initiatives. The pivot is meant to be a strategic “re-balancing” of U.S. interests from Europe and the Middle East toward East Asia. President Barack Obama’s East Asia Strategy (2009–2017) represented a significant shift in the foreign policy of the United States. It took the country’s focus from the Middle Eastern/European sphere and began to invest heavily in East Asian countries.
