Vishal Shah got a rank of 63 in CSE 2018 with a score of 329 in Sociology, which was his optional subject. He is the sociology topper this year. This was his 3rd attempt. He worked in a few startups before getting on to this journey of Civil Services.
He, in fact, got a rank of 1047 last year but decided to improve his rank in CSE 2018. He was a part of ForumIAS’s MGP batch.

He talks about how discussing tests with friends taking different test series helped him in getting a better idea of different patterns in which questions can be asked.
