Abhinav Shah secured a rank of 222 in CSE 2018. This was his 3rd attempt in the exam. He has done his graduation from Delhi University (DU) and even joined a job after graduating. He left his job, thereafter, to prepare for Civil Services.

For writing his 3rd attempt, he came to Delhi to join ForumIAS’s Comprehensive Guidance Program (CGP) in 2017, which included everything from prelims, Mains foundation classes, MGP to the Interview Guidance.

During his entire curriculum at the premises, he met a lot of people going through the same phase as he did. Discussing test papers with them and trying to beat their scores in every test created a healthy and competitive environment that made the preparation journey less of a burden.

To prepare for the Current Affairs section of both prelims and mains, he found Current Affairs classes by Dipin sir very useful. Giving daily tests with the Special Focus Group was bit exhausting yet very exciting, says the topper.

Watch his video below where he talks about the strategy he applied this year to get a rank. He solved a lot of MCQs that helped him get the hang of how to eliminate options and get to the correct option.

When Abhinav joined us, his primary concern was clearing “prelims only”, and yet he cleared Prelims, Mains and also the Interview.
