Philosophy graduate Saloni Khemka got a rank of 27 in CSE 2018. This was her 6th attempt with Philosophy optional. She started preparing for the services right after graduating from college.

With each year’s attempt, she used to analyze and prepare the strategy that worked well for her personally. She cleared the prelims thrice during this journey and never gave up on her dream of becoming an IAS Officer.

She secured 111 marks in the prelims Paper 1 which is one of the highest marks this year. She used to research and dig on each and every topic that was prescribed in the syllabus, even if it wasn’t given in the standard books.

Her mains preparation wasn’t just limited to studying and practicing, she used to have fruitful discussions with her peers on several topics and doing that made her have topics covered with all perspectives that really helped her in answer writing.

She was a part of ForumIAS’s Current Affairs Program, the content of which she found very selective and relevant for her preparation.

Watch her Q and A session with Asif sir and learn how she persevered and stuck to her dream and didn’t give up until she finally made it to the list.
