NIT Rourkela graduate Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat secured a rank of 72 in CSE 2018. This was his 3rd attempt with optional Public Administration. He started preparing for the Civil Services right away after graduating.
What drove him towards Civil Services is the dream to touch the lives of Millions of people in the country by connecting with the ground realities and serving society.
Watch his Q and A video with Asif sir where he talks about his detailed strategy for every stage of the examination and how he worked on his temperament to keep calm during the exams. In the video, he mentions that he practiced meditation to deal with anxiety and stress.
He suggests aspirants to attempt the prelims exam like they are giving any mock test. They should be calm and confident. He also suggests that one should do a thorough reading of the core and foundation books like NCERTs before starting the advanced books.
He talks about how he linked every Current Affair to the topics given in the syllabus. By this way, he could do a very analytical study of Current Affairs Section.
