Ankur Kaushik, who is an NSIT Graduate, secured a rank of 37 in CSE 2018. This was his 2nd attempt in the exam, the first one being in 2016 when he secured a rank of 485 and got into IRTS (Indian Railway Traffic Service). He didn’t write his attempt in 2017 because of some engagement at LBSNAA. His optional was Public Administration.

Watch his Video in which he talks about his detailed strategy to get a better rank this year. He advises the aspirants not to neglect the static portion of the syllabus while preparing for the Current Affairs Section. He emphasizes the importance of making daily, weekly and monthly targets in order to keep track of the preparation.

He also sheds light on what his Public Administration preparation looked like. He used to refer the ARCs (Administrative Reform Commission) for his preparation, says 7-9 of them are very important. He used to quote data, facts, and flowcharts in his answers from there. He also speaks about the importance of adding poems and anecdotes to your answers, even if it’s not directly asked in the paper.

He advises the aspirants to be honest with their test series. He has extensively talked about his strategy for writing the mains exam, given the paucity of time, in this video.
