About Dussehra:
- Dussehra is also known as Vijayadashami. It marks the victory of Lord Ram over Ravana as you all must be knowing. Effigies of Ravana are burnt as a symbol of the victory of good over evil across the country.
- In the eastern part of India, Vijayadashami is the celebration of Goddes Durga’s triumph over the invincible Mahishasura.
- Both the legends signify the victory of good over evil. The festival is a triumph of good over evil and of light over darkness.
