About Gaganyaan Mission?

Gaganyaan is India’s first Human Space Flight Programme to be launched by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) by 2022.
It is designed to carry about three human beings for a maximum period of seven days in space with the support of academia and the scientific community.
The programme will make India the fourth nation in the world to launch a Human Spaceflight Mission. So far, only the USA, Russia and China have launched human spaceflight missions.
This would be one of the cheapest manned space flights in the world, with the entire mission, including technology development, flight hardware realization and infrastructure.
