News: Yesterday, PM launched the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, which is a continuation in the series of schemes and projects, like PM JANMAN, which were rolled out for the benefit tribals across the country.

1. Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan: It aims at saturation of critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, livelihood.

2. It will be implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs with the help of 17- line Ministries of Govt of India.

3. Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) aims to saturate PVTG households and habitations with basic facilities such as safe housing, clean drinking water and sanitation, improved access to education.

4. Presently, 75 tribal communities residing in 18 states and UT of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Odisha has the highest number of 13 PVTGs in India.
