News- The Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, launched the fourth edition of the Nayi Chetna national campaign to strengthen community action against gender-based violence.

About Nayi Chetna 4.0
- It is fourth edition of a month-long national campaign to strengthen community action against gender-based violence and empower rural women.
- It is organised by Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), under the Ministry of Rural Development. It will run across all States and Union Territories from 25 November 2025 to 23 December 2025.
- It is led by the Self-Help Group network of rural women, making Nayi Chetna a strong grassroots movement.
- It will involve cooperation between 11 Union ministries to combat gender- based violence across the country.
Focus of the Campaign
- The campaign focuses on safe mobility, recognition of women’s economic contribution, and shared responsibility for unpaid domestic and care work.
- It also works to improve women’s access to credit, skills and markets and to promote gender- responsive policies and budgets.
