News: The Asian Youth Games 2025, officially the 3rd edition of the event, is underway in Manama, Bahrain, from October 22 to 31, 2025.
About Asian Youth Games

- It was initiated by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to support athletes aged 14–18 years.
- It serves as a pathway to the Youth Olympic Games and promotes youth development, cultural exchange, and international exposure.
- It was first held in Singapore (2009) and second edition in Nanjing, China (2013).
- Next Asian Youth Games will be held in Uzbekistan in 2029.
About Asian Youth Games 2025
- Host: It was held in Manama, Bahrain from 22–31 October 2025.
- It featured 4,000+ athletes from all 45 Asian nations.
- The competitions were held across 26 sports.
- India’s participation: India sent a contingent of 229 athletes (107 boys, 122 girls) and 90 officials.
- Women won 26 of India’s 48 medals (54.17%).
- They secured 9 of 13 Gold medals (69.23%).
