News: The Board of Directors of the India-UN Development Partnership Fund met at India’s Permanent Mission in New York to review operations, ongoing projects, and future scope.

    • SDG Alignment: It supports projects contributing to all 17 Sustainable Development Goals across sectors like health, climate resilience, and infrastructure.
    • Priority Groups: It focuses on least developed countries and small island developing States.

    • Commitment: The Government of India has committed $150 million over 10 years.
    • Commonwealth Window: A specific $50 million portion of the fund is dedicated to supporting developing countries within the Commonwealth of Nations.
  • Significance: It promotes shared prosperity and strengthens cooperation between developing countries through sustainable and country-led development initiatives.
