- Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa is on a three-day visit to Thailand from August 26, 2019. He will represent India at 2019 Indo Pacific Chiefs of Defence (CHOD) Conference being held in Bangkok.
- The theme for the conference is “Collaboration in a free and Open Indo – Pacific”.
- The conference seeks to provide perspectives on common challenges faced by attending nations and elicit open discussions on the same.
- The participation of Indian Air Chief Marshall at the CHOD conference 2019 is expected to foster India-Thailand defence cooperation and foster regional collaborative security initiatives
