- The National Highway 37 that ran from Goalpara in western Assam to Roing in Arunachal Pradesh is now part of National Highway 27.
- National Highway 27 is India’s second longest highway from Porbandar in Gujarat to Silchar in southern Assam.
- The National Highway 37 is the lifeline of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.
- In three decades, National Highway has witness huge changes leading to two-lane road to a concrete four-lane highway which is part of the East-West Corridor.
