News: The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs organised an awareness webinar on the Corporate Mitra Scheme in Arunachal Pradesh.
About Corporate Mitra Scheme

- Corporate Mitra Scheme is a flagship initiative to create Corporate Mitras for supporting Micro, India’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
- Launched by: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs announced the scheme in the Union Budget 2026-27.
- Implementation: The scheme will be implemented through the SWAYAM Plus portal.
- Aim: The scheme aims to strengthen the MSME ecosystem through trained para-professionals, reduce compliance burden, improve ease of doing business, and create employment opportunities.
- Key features:
- Trained Support: It will provide affordable support in regulatory compliance, GST, accounting, financial management, cost accounting, secretarial services, and governance.
- Training Structure: Candidates will complete 6 months of academic learning followed by 6 months of on-the-job training with firms.
- Wider Reach: It will mainly work in Tier-II and Tier-III cities to improve access to professional services.
- Eligibility: Graduates and final-year graduation students up to 30 years of age are eligible to apply for the scheme.
- Benefits: Eligible women candidates and applicants from the North Eastern Region, Himalayan Region, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep will receive a 50 per cent course fee concession.
- During on-the-job training, candidates will also receive a minimum stipend as per the applicable norms of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICoAI).
