• DAANVEER is a citizen participation initiative launched to strengthen the digital infrastructure of Gram Panchayats across India.
• Nodal Ministry: The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is the nodal ministry responsible for implementing the initiative.
• Developed by: It has been developed in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre ; (NIC) and DigiHaat.
• Integrated with: It is integrated with platforms such as e-GramSwaraj, Meri Panchayat, Sabha Saar, AuditOnline, Gram Manchitra, and other digital governance applications.
• Aim: The initiative aims to bridge the digital infrastructure gap in Gram Panchayats and create a long-term, citizen-powered ecosystem for strengthening local institutions.
• Tagline: It is a completely voluntary initiative that operates under the tagline “Give Back to Your Village.”
• Features:
  • It provides a transparent, end-to-end, and digitally verifiable platform through which citizens and organizations can contribute to the technology and infrastructure needs of Gram Panchayats.
  • The platform incorporates verified institutional requirements, standardized contribution options, direct delivery, and end-to-end digital tracking to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • It establishes a credible and standardized mechanism that enables citizens to participate in strengthening public institutions.
  • It enables citizens across India and the world to contribute meaningfully to the development of their native villages.
• Contribution Mechanism
  • The initiative is available through the Meri Panchayat mobile application.
  • It enables individuals and organizations to contribute standardized, quality-verified computer bundles directly to eligible Gram Panchayats.
