  • Developed by: DengiAll has been developed by Panacea Biotec in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
  • Vaccine Type: DengiAll is a live-attenuated tetravalent dengue vaccine that combines weakened forms of DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4.
    • Live-Attenuated Vaccines: These vaccines contain weakened forms of pathogens that can trigger a strong and long-lasting immune response without causing illness in healthy individuals.
  • Current Status: The Phase 3 clinical trial of DengiAll was conducted in 2024 with more than 10,335 participants across 19 sites in 18 States and Union Territories.
  • Dosing: DengiAll is a two-dose vaccine followed by two years of medical follow-up.
  • Efficiency: Early Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials demonstrated an efficacy rate of 77% to 82% and showed a balanced antibody response against all four dengue virus serotypes, indicating promising protection against dengue infection.
  • NIH-Based Technology: It is derived from the TV003/TV005 strain originally developed by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
