- The Ministry of AYUSH has launched the e-AUSHADHI portal. The portal name-E-AUSHADHI is the acronym of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy Automated Drug Help Initiative.
- The portal provides for online licensing of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy drugs and related matters. It seeks to promote increased transparency, improved information management facility, improved data usability and increased accountability in the AYUSH medical system in India.
- The portal will provide for real time information of a) the licensed manufactures and their products, b) cancelled and spurious drugs c) contact details of the concerned authority for specific grievances. These information are expected to benefit licensing authority, manufactures, as well as consumers.
