1. India and Austria have solidified their bilateral partnership with a focus on sustainable economic and technology initiatives following meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer in Vienna.
2. The discussions emphasized a strategic approach to elevate their relationship to a higher level. Both leaders agreed on fostering a future-oriented partnership, particularly in green and digital technologies, infrastructure, renewable energy, and water management.
3. They also highlighted joint efforts in research, innovation, and business engagements, aiming to enhance connectivity and cooperation in areas such as life sciences, smart cities, mobility, and transportation.
4. The agreement reflects their commitment to a free, open Indo-Pacific and adherence to international law, supporting peace efforts in regions like Europe and West Asia/Middle East.
5. Counterterrorism cooperation, support for UN reforms, and mutual endorsement for UNSC candidatures further underscored their shared vision for global stability and development through robust bilateral and multilateral engagement.
