News: The Board of Directors of the India-UN Development Partnership Fund met at India’s Permanent Mission in New York to review operations, ongoing projects, and future scope.
About India-UN Development Partnership Fund

- It is a fund established by India in partnership with the United Nations to support development projects in other developing countries, especially in the Global South.

- South-South Cooperation: It promotes shared prosperity through Southern-owned and led, demand-driven development initiatives.
- SDG Alignment: It supports projects contributing to all 17 Sustainable Development Goals across sectors like health, climate resilience, and infrastructure.
- Priority Groups: It focuses on least developed countries and small island developing States.

- Commitment: The Government of India has committed $150 million over 10 years.
- Commonwealth Window: A specific $50 million portion of the fund is dedicated to supporting developing countries within the Commonwealth of Nations.
- Significance: It promotes shared prosperity and strengthens cooperation between developing countries through sustainable and country-led development initiatives.
