News: India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched an online “Investors Support” portal for investors looking to invest in India’s semiconductor sector.
About “Investors Support” Portal
- “Investors Support” Portal is a single window digital interface designed to strengthen investor confidence and support the development of a resilient and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in the country.
- Launched by: India Semiconductor Mission under Semicon India Programme.
- Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Electronics & IT
- Aim: The platform aims to provide prospective investors with comprehensive information related to government schemes, policies, approved projects, regulatory processes and investment opportunities in India’s semiconductor sector.
- Benefits: The initiative is expected to improve transparency, simplify investor engagement and strengthen confidence among domestic and global stakeholders.
- The portal has been developed to provide information relating to Government schemes, policies, approved projects under Semicon India Programme, regulatory requirements, etc. to those investors who are considering investment in India.
