MountainIts larger area is dominated by the Lesser (or Little) Caucasus Mountains.
Highest PointThe highest point is Mt. Aragats at 13,418 ft. (4,090m). It is an extinct volcanic peak.

  • The Araks and Debed Rivers are the two most important rivers.
  • The Araks act as a natural border between Iran and Turkey to the south.
  • Armenia is rich in springs and wells, some of which possess medicinal properties.
Major LakeLake Sevan is the largest lake, and it is  6,000 ft. (2,000 m) above sea level.
