Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the Union Budget 2024-25 in the Parliament. This is her 7th consecutive budget, it means exceeding the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. The Interim Budget 2024 was presented on February 1, which made no major policy shifts or new benefits for the middle class. This is the first Union budget presented after the parliamentary elections this year. The present government (for 2024-29) has been formed with the help of coalition with other regional parties, unlike last 2 terms, when BJP had clear majority. Therefore, there can be some changes compared to the previous patterns of budgeting.
The annual Union budget is a key policy document, setting out a central government’s intentions for raising revenues and using resources during the year.
In this post, we will provide you Union Budget 2024-25 Key Highlights, as soon as they are available.
