isn’t clay soil suitable for cotton cultivation?
i also got this question incorrect
but what i have understood is that
loamy sand is given as best soil for cotton in various sources as there is plenty of air space but water drains through it quickly ,so may be it requires rounds of irrigation
while black soil found in deccan has a specialty of cracking open for getting enough air despite having a good retention of water
hence, clayey cant be said to be best for cotton as a category but black soil /regur soil may be.
this is what i have understood, others and forum ias can give their inputs
