SC flag delay in appointment of judges
The Supreme court in its judicial order has flagged issue of delay in appointment of judges in India. It has said that 213 names recommended for appointment to various High courts are pending with the government/SC Collegium. Delay in appointment of High Court Judges may affect the justice delivery mechanism

India proposes extended deadline for commitments at climate summit
In the 25th session of UNFCC COP, India has said that Developed countries have not met Kyoto protocol targets. India proposed that developed countries make good commitments on providing finance to developing countries by 2023, instead of 2020.

As per Climate Change Performance Index, USA ranks lasts in major polluting countries. It is followed by Saudi Arabia and Australia. India for the first time ranks among top 10 in the CCPI.
