can anyone confirm which state is having highest mangrove cover as per forest report 2019?
is it gujarat/westbengal?
Its WB> Gujarat> Andaman & Nicobar Islands
but in state forest report 2019 it stated that gujarat (37sq/km),maharashtra ( 16 sq/km),odisha (8 sq/km)
i know dipin sir has also said the same thing in d ongoing current affairs class but i am confused(((((((((((((((

You are confusing in two things
1. Present Mangrove Cover (in area terms)
2. INCREASE in Mangrove area (in comparison to 2017). Both are different things.
If we are talking about Present mangrove cover then its WB> Guj> Andaman…..
If we are talking about increase in mangrove cover (in comparison to 2017) then it is Guj> Maharashtra>Odisha…
