- According to a report,North Korea might be preparing for a missile or space launch.It is based on satellite image analysis of a key facility near Pyongyang.
- The images are of a site known as Sanumdong.It is a facility where North Korea has assembled some of its intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) and satellite-launching rockets.
- An intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is a guided ballistic missile with a minimum range of 5,500 kilometres primarily designed for nuclear weapons delivery.
- Earlier,US President and North Korean leader had met for a second summit in Vietnam.The summit ended in failure with the two sides falling apart on the central issues of disarmament and sanctions relief.The first summit was held at Singapore where they had pledged to work towards the complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.
