Panel’s draft bats for simultaneous polls

- Simultaneous election to Lok Sabha and State assembly, recommended by Law Commission.
Important Facts:
2. Recommendations are based on positive and negative public suggestions.
3. Bare minimum constitutional amendment with consent of state will be required to achieve it.
4. Elections to 12 State Assemblies and one Union Territory (with legislature) can be synchronised with the general elections in 2019.
5. Political will and state acceptance can make it possible.
