Why in the News?
PM Shri Narendra Modi will release the 15th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme on the occasion of ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas'(Tribal Pride Day).
What is Tribal Pride Day?
1. It is celebrated on 15 November(Birth date of Birsa Munda- Tribal freedom fighter) which is also foundation day of Jharkhand state.
2. This Tribal Pride Day observed every year and recognized the efforts of the tribals to preserve the cultural heritage and promote the Indian values.
What is PM KISAN Scheme?
Aim | Providing income support (Rs.6,000/- per year in three equal instalments as Direct Benefit Transfer) to supplement the financial needs of the farmers in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields. |

Eligibility Conditions | 1. All land holding eligible farmer families (subject to the prevalent exclusion criteria). 2. As per latest guidelines e-KYC and seeding of Aadhaar with active bank accounts are mandatory. |
PM-KISAN App | To facilitate e-KYC the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare launched this App with the feature of facial authentication-based e-KYC. |
PM-KISAN AI Chatbot (Kisan e-Mitra) | 1. It provides farmers with a one-stop solution for their grievances related to the PM-KISAN scheme. 2. The chatbot offers support in local languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Odia, Bengali and English through voice and text assistance |

1. As of now, benefits amounting to more than Rs 2.61 lakh crores have been provided to more than 11 crore farmers across the nation.
2. In the 15th instalment, over 8.0 Cr. farmers will receive an amount of more than Rs. 18,000 Cr.
