Biography 

• Birth and Domicile: Poorva Agrwal was born and brought up in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, where she completed her schooling before moving to Delhi for higher studies. 

• Family Background: Coming from a family of educators, her father Shri. Mohan Lal Agrawal is a professor, while her mother, Smt. Anita Agrawal is a teacher. Their support and emphasis on education played a crucial role in shaping her disciplined approach. 

• Educational Background: She has completed her class 10th from Kanger Valley Academy Raipur and scored a perfect 10 CGPA. She completed her 12th from DAV Public School, Bilaspur and scored a spectacular 97.6%. She moved to Delhi for her graduation, She did her B.A. Hons in Economics from the prestigious Sri Ram College of Commerce showing her continuous pursuit for excellence and hard work.  

• Previous Work Experience: Before starting her civil services preparation, Poorva worked as an Analyst at Barclays Services Limited Singapore for a year, gaining corporate exposure before switching to her true calling in public service.

• UPSC preparation Journey: She attempted UPSC CSE 03 times, learning from each setback. Her perseverance, structured study plan, and answer writing practice helped her secure AIR 67 in her final attempt. 

• Medium of Exam: English

• No. of UPSC CSE attempt: She cleared the exam in her third attempt, proving that persistence is as important as preparation.

• Optional Subject: Economics

• Curricular and Extracurricular Achievements: Apart from studies she has shown interest and excellence in her extra curricular activities too. She has represented Chattisgarh in Nation Swimming Competitions. She has led Astitva, a project linking farmers directly to markets. She has also taken keen interest in plantation drives in slum areas. In her private time, she practices meditation to mental clarity and focus.
