- Asia Zero Emission Community is a platform for cooperation towards carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions in the Asia region.
- AZEC operates on the “triple breakthrough” principle, aiming to achieve decarbonisation, economic growth, and energy security simultaneously.
- Launched by: It was launched by Japan as part of its broader strategic initiatives.
- Inception: It was proposed in 2022 and formally launched in March 2023.
- Partner countries: It includes 11 countries, such as Australia, Japan, and nine ASEAN member states.
