- Russian athletes to return to competition as WADA lifts doping ban: The world Anti doping Agency (WADA) lifted ban on Russia’s Anti doping agency (RUSADA) opening the door for Russian athletes to return in world’s sports competition.
About WADA: The WADA is a foundation initiated by the International Olympic Committee based in Canada. It promotes, coordinates and monitors the fight against drugs in sports. The agency’s key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities, and monitoring of the World Anti-Doping Code
The home ministry and ISRO have signed an agreement for setting up an integrated control room for emergency response (ICR-ER) in the ministry. ISRO will provide technical expertise for setting up the ICR-ER. The ICR-ER will fulfil the requirement of internal security as well as disaster management.
