About SARAS Aajeevika

- Initiative by: SARAS Aajeevika is an initiative under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) of the Ministry of Rural Development.
- Mission: Its mission is to curate authentic handcrafted products nationwide.
- It promotes products made by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and rural artisans by providing marketing support and connecting them with wider markets.
- Features:
- It showcases the products made by self-managed Self Help Groups (SHGs) and federated institutions.
- Through physical retail platforms, digital commerce (E-Saras), national exhibitions, and curated product collections such as the SARAS Shakti Collection and re-imaging of the SARAS Gallery, the initiative is enabling rural entrepreneurs to reach wider markets while contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
- It gives customers access to 100% authentic handcrafted products.
